Call them whatever you like, they are still treadmills. I think part of the problem some people have in finding a good, economical motorised treadmill is simply terminology. It’s too bad that we all can’t always agree on what to call things. In building out this website, I have been doing a lot of research trying to find out exactly what people want to know about the most, and I think I pretty much have it down:
You want to find cheap priced treadmills that still provide value for the money. I am here to try and help you do it. In the near future, you can expect to see this site grow rapidly, as we add categories for all the major treadmill manufacturers, and lots of reviews for individual machines.
In the meantime, whether you call it a motorised treadmill, a running machine, an electric treadmill, or something else, you’ll find it here.
At this point, we are still debating whether or not to add a section on treadmill workouts. One of the reasons we are waiting on that is that most of the current crops of treadmills come with a set of workout plans included, and it seems redundant.
We also will be taking a look at some of the downsides to electric treadmills, such as the fact that some of them have less than adequate padding. You may say “Well, that’s OK – I have shoes for that.” In my opinion, you are a little behind the times – recently there have been a number of studies pointing out that you may be better off doing all of your time on your running machine barefoot!
Yep – the research is pointing more and more in the direction of running in our base feet. It makes sense if you think about it. We didn’t evolve with shoes on – why should we think that we need them to run or walk inside our homes on a dry flat surface like our electric treadmill provides?
There is even a news report of a guy running marathons in his bare feet. Why not, if your soles can take it?
Well, that’s it for today. Please check us out again soon, and you’ll find a review of your favorite treadmill right here!
